Herald × HURRAY launch "Let's Hands Together" for shelter animals

A day of walks and memories with their dogs turned into something more for participants — a contribution to better living conditions for shelter animals.

Mungthly Letter, the pet lifestyle newsletter published by Herald Corporation (CEO Jinyoung Choi), and pet care brand HURRAY (CEO Hyejin Hwang) ran a collaboration booth at Wellness Seoul 2025, held on the 7th at Dream Forest in northern Seoul, where they hosted the "Let's Hands Together" event.

Wellness Seoul 2025 featured a varied program including forest walks with pets, a pet lecture concert, a climate talk show on environmental awareness, and a Healing Forest music concert. Through "Let's Hands Together," customers place their pet's paw in the paw-shaped cutout on the campaign postcard included with HURRAY products, photograph it, and post it to Instagram with the hashtags #HURRAY and #HandsTogether. For each post, HURRAY donates products that support shelter animal hygiene — including Melting Paper and Giant Paper — to animal welfare organizations on the customer's behalf.

HURRAY focused on a specific gap: shelter animals often go without regular washing or grooming because there simply aren't enough hands, leaving them exposed to skin problems, ticks, and bacteria. According to the company, consistent hygiene care using simple products such as wipes can go a long way toward keeping shelter animals comfortable and healthy.

Participants joined by subscribing to Mungthly Letter, taking a photo with their dog at the on-site photo zone, and posting it to Instagram on the spot. Mungthly Letter and HURRAY plan to donate the resulting products to the Balladang Adoption Center, operated by the nonprofit A Happy World with Animals.

"I came thinking it would just be a fun day out with my dog," one participant said. "But finding out that the same wipes I use on her paws will also help shelter dogs made it feel like a really meaningful day."

Participants were also entered into a prize draw for a chance to try HURRAY products. Prizes included the HURRAY Melting Gift Box (1st), a Melting Paper and Melting Nosework Toy set (2nd), the HURRAY Creamy Towel (3rd), NoWay Pest Repellent Spray Mini (4th), and Melting Paper Portable Wipes (5th).

One second-prize winner said, "I first got HURRAY wipes as a welcome gift at a resort I visited with my dog — they were thick and soft, so I've kept using them ever since. It'd be great if more people got to try them today."

The event was co-hosted by Herald Business and The Korea Herald, and co-organized by Yedang Media, Bojou Museum, and The Cloud. A total of 300 dogs and their families took part in activities including the Slowpoke Pet Run — a loop of the Dream Forest walking trail with missions along the way — and a pet lecture concert.
